The City is currently having a Facility Needs Assessment done of the Recreation Center. What ideas do you have for improvements and/or new services needed at the Recreation Center?

The local Morning Kiwanis Club has raised enough money to complete Phase 1 of a handicapped accessible playground at Young's Park. Are you excited for construction to begin in Spring 2013?

A few area cities have started erecting enclosed structures (mini-libraries) - a little larger than a mail box - on public and private grounds. People donate and stock the mini-libraries with their used books for people to pick up and read. When they're finished with the book, they return the book to its original site or some other location, for other readers. Books include children and young adult stories, novels and how-to books. Would Knoxville citizens have an interest in mini-library concept?

Lets forget about dog parks and water slides for a min and talk about more pressing business like ww3 its no shock to me that the communists are making a come back and are republic has been all but broken down to its knees from within by traitors and enemy agents so lets build a fallout shelter and maybe some of u will live to see the Red Dawn.. Lol now that i have your attention it would seem are infrastructure has been pretty much stripped down by unfair trade regulations, there's alot of very serious problems my generation is going to have to face in the not so distant future some of u might know what will happen if we stay the course were on now... what do u think?

Why not put a poll on here, FB, Twitter, around town, etc. to see if there is any interest in having a "game" night maybe once a week? Ask for age, give a few game ideas (yahtzee, Dominos, Card games. give it 2 months or less, and lets go from there. I will even handle the polling results, free. I am just Bored to death every night. You could charge people say $3-4, depending on what is going on, and there it becomes INCOME FOR THE CITY!

Looking for opinions/suggestions/rules on an idea I have been curious about doing. A blessing box in my yard. It would be like the mini libraries but not just limited too books. More on the lines of non perishable food items, basic necessities like dish soap, bath soaps, diapers, laundry soap or anything that someone going through a struggle could use. Im sure there are probably some regulations of some degree, it/they would draw people to your home which hopefully wouldn't cause any issues. Just really feeling it could help someone in a bad spot. Thanks!
