Dawn Allspach-Kline Biography
Council Member Dawn Allspach-Kline has lived in Knoxville since 1997. She is the Director of Marion County Senior Nutrition and has worked in this field for 13 years. She works closely with other aging service providers in Marion County and throughout Central Iowa. Council Member Dawn Allspach-Kline is a Gerontology Specialist along with being an Aging Services Specialist and has an Associate’s Degree in Aging Services, and is finalizing her studies for a double Bachelor’s in Human Services and Health Care Administration. Dawn sits on the Grants and Planning Committee at Aging Resources of Central Iowa, as a member of the Advisory Board of Aging Resources of Central Iowa, as a Board Member of Knoxville Morning Kiwanis, and is an active member of First United Methodist Church. She strongly supports locally owned businesses, businesses that are already established in Knoxville and encouraging other small businesses to relocate to Knoxville. She enjoys educating local residents about what it really means to the owner of a small business and the city when residents shop at locally owned businesses.

Council Member Allspach-Kline's goals and priorities include: ensuring a good quality of life for Knoxville residents by giving them a great place to grow up and grow old in, increase Knoxville's population and ensure our city has the amenities and services to keep current residents here. Council Member Allspach-Kline would like to see and assist in an age friendly city which is a part of economic growth and development, and move Knoxville to be an environmentally friendly city. The most important goal for Council Member Dawn Allspach-Kline is to ensure our city is supportive and assisting what we currently have in businesses and services that give a person a good quality of life.
